Vertigo

In Portuguese: Vertigem

Short definition

Vertigo is the illusory sensation of movement, usually rotation, of oneself or the surroundings, frequently caused by disorders of the vestibular system of the inner ear or its connections to the brain.

In plain language

It is distinct from other forms of dizziness, such as feeling faint or unsteady. It may be accompanied by nausea and instability, and it increases the risk of falls in older people. In virtual reality, the conflict between what the eyes see and what the inner ear senses can cause similar symptoms, known as cybersickness.

In practice, in an RVer session

The RVer library is filmed with a stable camera and no artificial locomotion, and sessions take place seated or lying down.
