01Who signs for it

RVer is a brand of Amplified Creations, Lda., an independent Portuguese studio. The company is the device manufacturer and the data controller, there are no intermediaries between whoever builds the product and whoever answers for it.

The team works remotely, and that has one practical consequence we would rather state up front: the people an institution deals with are the people who build the product. There is no commercial layer in between, and no request that passes through three people before reaching whoever solves it.

02Where we are

We work with institutions spread across several parts of the country, not one single region, although today all of them sit from Lisbon northwards. Meetings happen online and the system lives at the institution itself, so geography constrains little about who can work with us.

03What RVer is

A virtual reality system for supervised clinical use, used in hospitals, clinics and care homes as a non-pharmacological complement for comfort, distraction, guided activity and wellbeing, always under the supervision of the healthcare team.

The base product is the video library, registered as a Class I medical device with Infarmed (no. CDM 94571546), CE-marked under MDR 2017/745, self-declared by the manufacturer with no notified body.

The RVer Motion, RVer Neuro and RVer Exposure modules are in development and are not covered by that registration. The exact scope, line by line, is on the science and regulation page.

04How we work

• The session is run by the institution. The equipment is not self-administered and decides nothing for anyone: the healthcare professional chooses, offers and stops.
• Patient data does not leave the headset. The session record stays within the institution. What travels is technical device information, with no clinical content.
• It works without internet. The content is on the device. A network failure does not cancel a session, and the system keeps working if RVer ceases to exist.
• We say where the product does not fit. There are situations where the right answer is something else, and we say so in the first meeting, before there is a proposal.

05What we are not

• We are not a 360° video player. The product is the clinical system around the headset: the validated library, the session record, control by the team, and the regulatory framing.
• We do not treat, diagnose or assess. The base product complements existing care. It replaces no assessment, therapy or clinical follow-up.
• We do not sell data. No patient clinical data is sold, shared or used for any other purpose.
• We do not take on everything. When a request does not fit what we do, we say so instead of accepting and failing halfway. We would rather lose the deal in front of us than the client after it.
