SRN (single registration number)

Short definition

SRN (single registration number) is the number assigned by the competent authority to each manufacturer, authorised representative or importer when it registers in EUDAMED.

In plain language

It is laid down in Article 31 of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. It identifies the economic operator throughout the European Union and is used, for example, in device registration and in applications to notified bodies. In Portugal, it is assigned by Infarmed after validating the request made in EUDAMED.
