Hand tracking
Short definition
Hand tracking is the ability of a virtual reality headset to detect, using cameras, the position and gestures of the hands, without controllers.
In plain language
It allows interaction with the virtual environment by touching, pointing or grabbing with one's own hands. It can be useful for people who find it hard to hold or use controllers. Accuracy decreases when the hands leave the cameras' range or cover each other.
