Kiosk mode

Also known as: single-app modeIn Portuguese: Modo quiosque

Short definition

Kiosk mode is a configuration that locks a device into a single application, preventing access to menus, stores or other functions.

In plain language

It is common on reception tablets, public terminals and professional equipment. In a clinical context, it prevents the person from leaving the application by mistake, stops unexpected notifications or content from appearing and keeps settings from being changed. It also simplifies the team's work, as the device is always found in the same state.

In practice, in an RVer session

RVer Headsets run in kiosk mode and without an internet connection.
