Short definition

Portugal 2030 is the partnership agreement between Portugal and the European Commission that organises the use of EU cohesion policy funds in the 2021-2027 programming period.

In plain language

It includes funds such as the ERDF, ESF+, the Cohesion Fund, the Just Transition Fund and the EMFAF, distributed across thematic and regional programmes. Funding is made available through calls for applications, each with its own eligibility and expenditure rules. For social and health institutions, the relevant calls are usually those of the regional programmes and those for social innovation.
